I’m shocked by how many women and men use an ineffective and potentially harmful anti aging cream or lotion. In fact, just the other day I noticed my wife was not using her regular antifacecream aging product or whatever it was she called it. She had gotten a tube in a Christmas gift basket last year and this is what she was using. I asked her why she was not using her natural anti aging cream because according to her it was very effective. Well, she said she ran out and this was all she had right now. I checked over the ingredients of this particular anti aging cream. First of all, there appeared to be nothing natural in it at all. Most of the ingredients were unpronounceable chemicals. However, I did recognize a few things. I immediately told my wife that she should not use this product because there were some harmful ingredients in the product. I saw a couple of different parabens in the anti aging cream. Parabens are preservatives that are added to prolong the shelf life of the product. They are also potential cancer causing agents. Some studies have found that these preservatives have the potential to cause certain types of cancer, such as breast cancer. Since my wife is a breast cancer survivor, I did not want her applying an anti aging cream that could potentially cause her to get cancer again. Another ingredient I saw that caused me some alarm was paraffin oil. Paraffin oil is another name for mineral oil. Mineral oil is a cheap additive that actually will make your skin feel soft. But, it can clog your pores, which leads to skin conditions such as acne. The fact that this product, which was made in China, contained these potentially harmful ingredients was enough to convince me to get my wife to discard it. She is now going back to her safe and highly effective natural anti aging cream. Not all natural products are effective but if it contains a high concentration of active natural ingredients then it should be effective.
